This Chemistry course studies matter, atomic theory, chemical reactions and interactions, and the laws that govern the study of chemistry. The course includes laboratories that are designed to reinforce these major concepts. Topics covered include but are not limited to:
- Atomic Structure
- The Periodic Table
- Ionic and Covalent Bonding
- Chemical Reactions
- Gas Laws
- Acids, Bases, and Salts

In accordance with school policy, students will be expected to be seated and prepared to work when the bell rings. Students should respect each other and remain silent when others are talking.
Assignments will be due at the beginning of the hour. Missing or incomplete assignments will result in a ZAP (zeroes are prohibited) ticket and will be reported in Grade Watch. Students receiving a ZAP ticket will report to the ZAP room on that day.
Cheating, copying, or plagiarism will result in a zero for that assignment.
All grading and disciplinary actions will be done according to the student handbook. Refer to the handbook for any further information.
